The Busy Bees Quilting Group
"We are more than just a bunch of pretty faces."
Busy Bees meets at 8:30 every Wednesday morning in the Busy Bee Room, which is located at the back of the Family Life Center. Some ladies leave at noon and others bring a dish for a potluck lunch and quilt into the early afternoon. Ladies from FUMC and also other churches in the community gather for hand piecing and hand quilting a wide variety of quilts. Some are quilts that our group has created while others have been brought to us by individuals in the community. Money received from these quilts is used each year to furnish a scholarship for a graduating Lindale senior and for participation in other community projects and needs. One recent quilt won a blue ribbon at the 2007 East Texas State Fair. New members are welcome.
